Matchday Experience For Junior Football Club

Congleton Vale

THIS weekend Stoke City Football Club and the Matchday Experience Team will welcome over 250 representatives from Vale Juniors (Congleton) FC for the Premier League fixture against Swansea City.

Vale Juniors (Congleton) FC are regular visitors to Stoke City  having taken part in our matchday experiences the past seven seasons and as part of their special day they will be pitchside both pre-match and at half time on Saturday.

Formed in 1983 they run teams all the way up from U7s and also provide football training sessions for younger age groups. In total, they provide footballing opportunities for over 400 juniors!

Like most junior football clubs Vale Juniors (Congleton) FC rely on the tireless efforts of volunteers like their very own Mike Evans who has been involved in the club for over three decades! Mike has coached a range of age groups during this time and currently coaches the U9 Girls team, as well as being the Child Welfare Officer.

Mike has been an inspiration to everyone at the club and has now coached three generations of the town’s children, with some of his current team being the grandchildren of his original team!

“We would like to extend our thanks to all at Stoke City for working closely with us to offer this experience to so many of our club,” says Club Development Manager and Stoke City fan Shawn Beardmore.

Everyone at Stoke City looks forward to welcome Vale Juniors (Congleton) FC and all our groups for the upcoming fixtures over the festive period.

If you are part of a junior football team, school, local business or community group and would like to find out more about our group tickets and matchday experience, please call the team on 01782 592173 or email [email protected]
