New Boys Set To Feature

NEW SIGNINGS Charlie Adam and Maurice Edu have been given the all-clear to feature in Stoke City's Barclays Premier League match against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

Scottish international Adam completed his move from Liverpool just in time for him to be available for the meeting with Roberto Martinez's side and he linked up with his new colleagues in their team hotel ahead of the Wigan fixture.

The former Rangers and Blackpool midfielder was handed the number 16 shirt in the Potters squad after he had put pen-to-paper on a four year contract on deadline day.

The signing of Edu from Rangers was rubber-stamped once the final formalities of his transfer were completed at lunchtime on Friday following a visit to the Border Agency for his visa application.

The Club were subsequently given international clearance and both the FA and Premier League have cleared him for Wigan.

American international Edu, who has signed a three contract in moving down from Scotland, has opted to take the number 13 shirt.
