Pennant In Wolves Loan Move

Thumbnail

JERMAINE PENNANT has joined Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers on a three-month emergency loan deal.

The move gives the winger an opportunity for first-team football after finding chances limited for the Potters so far this season.

After starting in the opening home match against Arsenal as well as the League Cup defeat to Swindon Town, Pennant hasn't featured in any of the intervening fixtures after dropping behind Michael Kightly in the pecking order.

In total, the 29-year-old has played 77 times for the Club since his initial loan move from Real Zaragoza in August 2010.

He scored the third goal for City in the 3-0 Premier League win over Wolves in April 2011.

Our Staffordshire rivals are currently third in the Championship having won five of their last six games under Norwegian manager Stale Solbakken.

They were the first team to be relegated from the Premier League last season after winning only one of their last 24 matches during a campaign that saw Mick McCarthy's six-year tenure as boss come to an end.

Pennant will join up with former City players Karl Henry and Jody Craddock at Molineux.
