Potters Return To PL Cup Action

Deva Stadium

STOKE CITY U23s return to Premier League Cup action on Sunday (1.00pm) when they face Liverpool at the Swansway Chester Stadium.

Glyn Hodges’ outfit will travel to the home of Chester FC in the third of their six group games.

The Potters have experienced contrasting emotions in their two ties so far in the competition with an opening day loss at Bristol City following by a 3-0 home victory over Charlton Athletic last month.

Meanwhile, the Reds are undefeated so far in the tournament with a 1-1 draw against the Addicks backed up by a 7-0 triumph over the Robins last time out.

In terms of recent form, City head into the game off the back of back-to-back 3-2 losses at home to Brighton & Hove Albion and Reading, while Liverpool have won their last three matches against Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle United.

Entry to the Swansway Chester Stadium on Sunday is priced at £3.00 Adults and £1.00 Under-18s.

For those unable to make it to the match, will be present to provide regular updates, as well as a match report and post-match reaction.
