#pottersmag Returns Better Than Ever

#POTTERSMAG is set to return better than ever for this weekend's 2014/15 Barclays Premier League curtain raiser with Aston Villa.

Stoke City's award-winning official matchday magazine has received a design overhaul ahead of the new season in conjunction with partners Opublishing & Media Ltd.

The 100-page perfect bound publication will also feature a host of exciting features as well; with the Playlister, Football Firsts and the Last Word newly included for the forthcoming campaign.

All three see stars of the first team squad offer insight into their lives and tastes, whilst "What's Your Game?" takes a look at what roles club staff members have behind the scenes at the Britannia Stadium.

Ever-green contributor Dave Coxon digs deep into 151 years of history for an A to Z of Stoke City, covering a different letter each issue, whilst Potters legend Mike Pejic submits a tactical analysis of the opposition ahead of every game.

Us & Them XI - another feature new for the season - sees a player who played for the Potters and the opposition select themselves in a side along with five of his team-mates from each side. Thomas Sorensen is first up and you sure wouldn't like to come up against his back four!

Elsewhere, stattos will embrace more facts and figures than ever before whilst those interested in the future as well as the here and now will enjoy the news pages from the Club's Academy.

Stunning imagery from Phil Greig will once again feature prominently as do the exclusive regular columns from manager Mark Hughes and captain Ryan Shawcross.

#pottersmag Editor Mark Mothershaw has been busy overseeing the changes over the summer and is confident supporters will enjoy what they see.

"Part of the remit is to try and develop the publication each and every year, and whilst we were incredibly pleased with what we produced last season, we are convinced that supporters will see the improvements we have made over the summer," he said.

"As well as retaining all of the previous features which the fans enjoyed, we have been able to implement a number of new ideas to the publication with a big focus being on producing even more snappy features with the first-team players.

"This year there is also a greater emphasis on facts and stats with lots of information being provided on the game itself, whilst the magazine as a whole has a totally fresh look about it helping to enhance what we feel was already a must have accompaniment for all supporters visiting the Britannia Stadium."

Saturday's issue features Stephen Ireland as the cover star with magazines on sale from around the Britannia Stadium on Saturday priced at £3.50.
