Manager pleased with striker's contribution...
MARK HUGHES believes Spanish striker Joselu is doing all the right things as he looks to re-establish himself as a first-team regular at the bet365 Stadium.
The 27-year-old spent last season back in his homeland with Deportivo la Coruna after enduring a frustrating debut season in English football.
However, the forward has made a major impression during pre-season by betting five goals in just three appearances, including a brace in last night's encounter in Germany.
Speaking following the game, Hughes said: "He's come back and he's trying to make an impression - he's doing that in the right way by scoring goals.
"He's a certain type of striker. He's clearly not the kind of guy who is going to be battering around throwing elbows into defenders, but he's an intelligent forward, a clever player who makes good runs.
"The first goal he got here was very similar to the run he made at Bolton. He can pick little pockets of space and he understands if he gets in there he's a good finisher."
Hughes added: "He strikes a ball very cleanly as any technical player would do. He's doing very well at the moment."
