Rock Star Rod Stewart Rules The Britannia Stadium!

ROCK STAR Rod Stewart wowed a packed-out Britannia Stadium in his first concert in Stoke-on-Trent for 40 years on Saturday.

The popular performer sang in front of 22,000 fans at the home of Stoke City during a fantastic two-hour set.

He was given a rapturous reception by rockers as he did renditions of all his top hits during the evening, including Tonight's The Night, You Wear It Well and Maggie May.

69-year-old Rod then finished off with Do Ya Think I'm Sexy as the sky was lit up with fireworks.

The concert was part of his UK stadium tour in which he also performs at Brighton's Amex Stadium, Somerset's cricket ground, Bloomfield Road in Blackpool and Falkirk Stadium in Scotland.
