STOKE CITY can confirm that defender Ryan Shotton has completed a permanent move to Championship promotion hopefuls Derby County.

The Fenton-born full-back joined the Rams on loan in the summer and has featured 14 times under Steve McClaren thus far, netting two goals.

Shotton made 70 first team appearances for the Potters having progressed through the Club's Academy structure.

He scored his first Premier League goal against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns in 2011, a last minute winner, as well as notching two goals in Europe as the Potters reached the last 32 of the Europa League.

Everybody at Stoke City Football Club wishes Ryan all the very best for the future.
