MAMADY SIDIBE has today agreed to extend his loan deal with Sheffield Wednesday until mid-January . . . having impressed during his initial spell with the Owls.

The 32-year-old striker has penned a further month agreement at Hillsborough, meaning he is eligible to feature in their hectic Christmas and New Year calendar.

The former Mali international has featured five times for the Championship outfit, including their recent back-to-back victories against Barnsley and Charlton Athletic.

The striker, who wasn't named in Tony Pulis' 25-man Premier League squad, last featured for the Potters in the Premier League back in August, 2010.
