Stoke City Academy Duo Receive International Call-Ups

TWO OF Stoke City's promising young talents, Tom Dyche and Mason Watkins-Clark, have been called up for the international duty.

Goalkeeper Dyche is poised to make his debut for England's Under 16 side in a friendly against Belgium at St. George's Park this afternoon, while Watkins-Clark has been included in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for a European Championship qualifier against Germany next month.

It's the central defender's first inclusion in the squad for a competitive fixture, although he did make his debut for the Under-21s in a friendly earlier this summer.

Academy Director David Wright said: "Their call-ups are a direct result of the way they have both applied themselves and are confirmation of the progress they are making.

"It's a massive achievement for them both and everyone at Stoke City would like to wish them every success in their respective games."
