Strong Side For Clarets Friendly

A STRONG Stoke City side will host Championship side Burnley in a behind-closed-doors encounter at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon.

The likes of Michael Owen, Thomas Sorensen and Charlie Adam have been pencilled in to start for the Potters, whilst long-term injury absentee Marc Wilson is expected to feature as he continues his rehabilitation back from a broken leg.

United States international Brek Shea could make his first appearance for the Club, after completing a move from FC Dallas during the January transfer window.

First Team Coach Adrian Pennock will take charge of the side for the fixture, which kicks off at midday.

Meanwhile, Clarets boss Sean Dyche has included former Stoke striker Martin Paterson in their playing squad for the game.

Live updates from the encounter will be posted on the Club's official twitter account (@stokecity), whilst a match report, and post-match reaction will follow on both and Stoke City Player.
