Strong XI For Monaco Friendly


MARK HUGHES selected a strong starting line-up for the Potters’ third pre-season friendly in Switzerland against French giants AS Monaco.

International stars Geoff Cameron, Joe Allen, Ramadan and Xherdan Shaqiri were all handed their first appearances since returning from their extended summer breaks.

Jack Butland resumed his place in goal behind a back four of Glen Johnson, Ryan Shawcross, Cameron and Erik Pieters.

Joe Allen and summer signing Darren Fletcher marshalled in front, with Ramadan, Giannelli Imbula and Shaqiri providing support for Saido Berahino up front.
