Make your voice heard on the Supporters Council...
STOKE CITY fans are being encouraged to put themselves forward for a position on the Club's Supporters Council.
The annual election takes place over the coming weeks and any fan wishing to play their part in discussions with Club Representatives should submit an application.
The Council meets with Chief Executive Tony Scholes and additional key staff members on four to five matchdays each season. Council members set the agenda following discussions and idea sharing with fellow Stokies.
Four General Seat vacancies are currently available, with successful candidates standing for two years and one General Seat vacancy where the successful candidate will stand for one year.
In addition to the General Seats, there are also five specialist seats up for grabs, with successful candidates standing for two years. These consist of:
• Fan representing Q-railing Stand Lower Tier
• Fan representing Q-railing Stand Upper Tier
• Fan representing disabled supporters
• Fan representing Sharp South Stand
• Fan representing Under 18 supporters (must be between 16-18 years of age)
This year, the Supporters Council are looking for a second fan representing disabled supporters and also a fan to represent supporters under the age of 18.
To put yourself forward for election to either a General or Specialist seat, please submit an election statement of no more than 250 words on why you'd like to join the Council.
Statements should be sent to [email protected] or delivered to the bet365 Stadium marked 'Supporters Council Election Statement'.
The deadline for registering your election statement for the Supporters Council is midday on Monday 31st July 2017. All statements will be placed online and supporters will get to vote on their preferred candidates.
Voting will start from 9.00am on Tuesday 1st August and finishes at 9.00pm on Tuesday 8th August. The five fans who receive the most votes in the General Seats category will be elected to the Council. The fan receiving the most votes within each of the five specialist seats areas will also join the Council.
