The Breakfast Club

SUPPORTERS taking advantage of Stoke City's offer of free coach travel to every Premier League away game this season will be able to 'tuck in' to a sumptuous breakfast before hitting the road.

The Club are to lay-on traditional full English breakfast at the Britannia Stadium before each away game - at a cost of just £10 per person, although under-12s can eat for £5.

The price includes an all-you-eat breakfast buffet, including tea and coffee, which will be served in Tony Waddington Restaurant overlooking the pitch - and is the ideal way to start a big away day following Mark Hughes and his players.

On the menu will be: back bacon rasher, Cumberland sausage, fresh tomato, hash brown, beans, fried egg, Staffordshire oatcake, toast, butter and jam.

Last month the Club took the unprecedented step of announcing it would meet the cost of free coach travel from the Britannia Stadium to all 19 league games for all City supporters, starting with the opening day date with Liverpool at Anfield on 14 August.

The Potters are believed to be the first Club in the top four divisions of English football to have launched such a generous and unique initiative that will save regular followers of the Potters hundreds of pounds in the current difficult financial climate.

City's Head of Commercial Andy Billingham said: "The Club's offer of free coach travel to away games has really captured the imagination of our supporters.

"More than 25 coaches have already been booked for the opening day trip to Liverpool, so we're expecting demand for pre-departure breakfast to be extremely high."

Breakfast will be served on a strictly first come first served basis, although supporters will be able to pre-book before the day of the game.

Please note, bookings have to be made before 5pm on the Friday before the game - no bookings will be taken after that time.

Breakfast for the Liverpool game will be served between 8-9am, with coaches due to leave at 9.30am, while breakfast for the trip to West Ham on 31 August will be available 7.30-8.30, with coaches due to depart at 9am.
