Two Changes For Arsenal

TONY PULIS made two changes to his starting eleven for Saturday's Barclays Premier League encounter against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Defenders Andy Wilkinson and Ryan Shotton were both reinstated to the team, at the expense of Dean Whitehead and Scotland international Charlie Adam.

The pair started the game in the two full-back positions, with skipper Ryan Shawcross and German Robert Huth occupying the spots in the middle.

Pulis opted to deploy a five-man midfield, which consisted of Jon Walters and Matthew Etherington on the flanks, with Geoff Cameron, Glenn Whelan and Steven Nzonzi in the centre.

England international Peter Crouch was preferred in attack to Kenwyne Jones.

The Trinidadian was named amongst the substitutes, alongside the likes of Michael Owen, Cameron Jerome and Dean Whitehead.

Stoke City: Begovic; Shotton, Huth, Shawcross (C), Huth, Wilkinson; Walters, Cameron, Whelan, Nzonzi, Etherington; Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Whitehead, Adam, Kightly, Jerome, Jones, Owen.
