Under-18s Can Have Their Say

STOKE CITY are offering two of their young supporters the chance to have a say in the Club's future as they seek to fill additional places on their Supporters Council.

The Club will be conducting a poll to elect four more members to the Council, and two of those places will allow Under-18 supporters to sit on the representative body.

With an increasing number of young people in their supporter base, City recognise the importance of giving them a voice on the democratically-elected Supporters Council.

The election will take place early in the New Year; so supporters are being encouraged to put their names forward by submitting an application form for the following categories: General Seat open to all Season Ticket holders, two Under-18s, one of which will be specifically for those from the family area in the stadium, and one Corporate Member.

"A crucial objective of forming the Supporters Council was to ensure it represented a broad cross section of those within our supporter base. These additional categories present an opportunity for more fans to get involved," said City's Chief Executive Tony Scholes.

"The Council has already met on a number of occasions since its formation and the positive discussions held at each of those meetings has endorsed the belief that this will become a very strong representative body working on behalf of our supporters."

He added: "There are still places available for those wishing to stand in these four different categories. The two Under-18 seats are of particular significance to us because of the increasing number of young people within our supporter base."

Those supporters who wish to put their names forward as candidates in the categories up for election can do so by filling in the attached application form in which they will be asked to give a short summary of how they feel they can contribute as a Council Member.

The closing date for applications is Friday 4th January and the Club will then announce details of the election, together with information about the candidates, early in the New Year.

The application form is available by clicking HERE.
