JONATHAN WALTERS has ended his seven-year association with the Potters after agreeing to join Premier League rivals Burnley.

The Republic of Ireland international has inked a two-year deal with the Clarets after a potential £3M agreement was reached between the two clubs.

Walters, who turns 34 in September, has been a pivotal figure at the bet365 Stadium since signing from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2010.

The forward made 271 appearances in all competitions for the Club, including 24 last term, and netted a total of 62 goals.

The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Jon for his undoubted contribution over the past seven years and wish him all the best for the future.
