Liverpool 2 Stoke City 1

Posted on: Mon 06 Apr 2009

City's Under 18's fell to a 2-1 defeat at Liverpool on Saturday morning.

Substitute Adam Vickers' late goal proved to be just a consolation after Lauri Dalla Valle and Nathan Eccleston had earlier put the hosts ahead.

Adie Pennock's side were also denied a penalty in the fourth minute when Louis Mout was clipped in the area by goalkeeper Chris Oldfield.

The Potters did do well to keep the FA Youth Cup Semi-Finalists at bay through the second half but the result means it's now two defeats on the bounce.
