6:45pm: The media office was doing a bit of pre-match research and we found out something rather interesting. The last time the Potters reached the final of the competition, Steve Parkin, the current First Team Coach with the Tigers, was the skipper for the Potters Youth Team.

7.01pm We're off here at the Britannia!

6 min: Great flick from Moult puts him away down the wing. Cross is put behind for a corner

18 min: Mitchell shoots from just inide the box, keeper beats it out but nobody is there to tap home

22 min: Moult tricks his way past two defenders before shooting from 12 yards. The outstretched leg of a defender puts the ball narrowly wide of the goal

36 min: Connor loses the ball in the midfield and after a quick break is half stopped by a McDonald tackle the loose ball is hammered over by Fox

37 min: Hedley catches Townsend late and is booked by the ref

41 min: GOAL!!! McDonald floats in a free kick to Moult, via a flick on from a Hull head, and the hitman controlled and lashed it past the keeper from close range. 1-0

45+1 min: GOAL! After a period of pressure a mass scramble develops in the Potters box, with Hull striker Mark Cullen firing past keeper David Parton from 10 yards for his twenty eighth goal of the season

8.04pm Were back under way at the Brit!

49 min: Connor catches Cullen late and is shown a yellow card

50 min: Urwin sprints 60 yards with the ball before a cynical block by Wright stops him in his tracks. The ref is quickly over and produces the Tiger's first booking

54 min: The cards and coming thick and fast. This time Cohen is in the book for an innocuous looking challenge, where Cullen seemed to just run into the defender. The crowd aren't happy with that decision

60 min: Another booking as Emerton trips Nicholls off the ball but right in front of the referee

61 min: Free kick drilled in by McDonald. Flick on from Cohen is sent inches wide of the far post as the stretching Danny Stockhall just fails to make contact

63 min: After neat build up from Moult and Mitchell the ball finds Urwin. He fakes, comes inside and rasps a shot just wide from 22 yards

64 min: Mitchell dummies on the egde of the area, allowing the ball to run to Moult. He shapes to shoot but his effort is blocked by Wright

65 min: Another Stoke chance as a dangerous ball is headed onto the roof of the net by a defender, with the keeper committed. The corner produces another opportunity as, following a scramble, Cohen lifts the ball over a defender before stabbing wide from 10 yards

68 min: McDonald drives another free kick in from halfway and the keeper has to fling himself to his left to tip it away as it headed for the corner of the net

69 min:  Hull Sub: Fox off, Bennett on

75 min: Overment chips a great ball through to the free Cullen, putting the attacker one on one. He looks up and tries to pick his spot but the imposing figure of Parton stands tall and blocks the shot

77 min: A roving run from McDonald, one of many tonight, see's the centre back combine with Foster before getting to the byline and crossing to Nicholls. The midfielders touch is slightly too hard and the ball is hammered behind by a defender

78 min: Moult jinks his way down the left but his cross is put behind for another corner. The flag kick is headed to Stockhall on the egde of the box and his volley is heading in until a deflection takes it wide for another corner

79 min: The corner is met by the head of Cohen, but flies over the bar

87 min: Stockhall booked for a firm challenge on Overment

88 min: Long ball over the top sees Moult tip ball past the keeper but the angle is too tight and the ball ends up in the side netting

89 min: McDonald fires in a dangerous cross that just evades the outstretched legs of Nicholls and Moult

90+1 min: GOAL! Its heartache for Stoke as a long throw from Cooper drops to Bradley and he smashes the ball into the roof of the net from 8 yards 1-2

FT: The Potters go out in disappointing fashion after putting the visitors under a lot of pressure in a very open second half, falling to a goal in either half' injury time
