Posted on: Tue 16 Mar 2010

STOKE CITY'S Under-18s continued their recent good form with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday morning.

Following their local derby victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, Adrian Pennock's side produced another excellent team performance with goals in either side of half time from Jack Harrison and Cameron Mitchell securing the win.

Harrison struck in the 32nd minute when he was put through one-on-one with the Wednesday 'keeper and calmly slotted his shot home.

Mitchell added the second five minutes after the break with a well-struck drive from just inside the box from open play.

To complete an excellent double for the youth teams, an Under-16 side featuring many trialists triumphed 4-1 over Wednesday.
