TICKETS have now gone on sale for Stoke City's friendly against their American sister club Austin Aztex at Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium next week.
The Aztex, who were formed two years ago, are embarking upon a two week tour of England and are set for a first-ever meeting with the Potters on Wednesday October 14th.
Priced at £5.00 for adults and £1.00 for concessions, the tickets are available from the Britannia Stadium Ticket Office or can be purchased by contacting 0871 663 2007.
The game will help to forge closer links between the two clubs with Aztex already possessing a strong connection with City in their set-up.
Aztex President is Phil Rawlins, who is still a director at the Britannia Stadium, while they are managed by former City player Adrian Heath.
And their playing squad includes another ex-player, striker Gifton Noel Williams who scored 23 goals in 83 appearances in his two years with the club.
The Aztex will train with City's first team squad at the Clayton Wood Training Ground during their two week stay and they will use the Club's facilities as well.
They are due to play two other friendlies on the trip, visiting Accrington Stanley 24 hours after the game at Nantwich Town and then finishing off their tour with a friendly at Championship club Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday October 14th.
Aztex are hoping that the experience of coming to England will boost a squad that has an average age of 23-24 and is younger than most of its opponents in the United Soccer League where they struggled in their first season in finishing second from bottom.
