STOKE CITY'S sister club the Austin Aztex got back to winning ways with a crushing 3-0 victory that saw them advance to the second round of U.S. Open Cup.
After two games without a win, they recaptured the form that has seen them climb to the top of the USSF Division 2 Pro League after a fine start to the season.
The Aztex swept aside Dallas Fort Worth Tornados in a one-sided cup encounter with Jamie Watson giving them the lead in the 25 minute after Sullivan Silva had a game of pinball with the visiting 'keeper Maros Valko at House Park.
Adrian Heath's side went further ahead through full back Joey Worthen who was unmarked at the far post as he fired home a Watson cross.
It was Watson who completed a memorable night with his second goal, volleying home a left foot drive after Valko had parried a Kendell McFayden shot.
The Aztex will now face either Arizona Sahuaros or the Ventura County Fusion at House Park in the second round of the U.S. Open Cup on June 22nd.
