Ladies Collection At Bolton Game

Posted on: Fri 16 Apr 2010

STOKE CITY Ladies Football Club will be aiming to boost their funds when they hold a collection at the Barclays Premier League match against Bolton Wanderers.

The Ladies squad, which has enjoyed a successful season and recently retained the Staffordshire Senior Cup, will be present at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.

They will be dotted around the perimeter of the stadium and also in the concourses before the match collecting money to boost their much needed funds, so supporters are asked, once again, to dig deep and give generously where possible please.

As part of ladies day on Saturday, they will be parading the cup around the pitch at half time and both Olivia Fergusson and Emily Horton, who have this week been called up to an England Under-15 training camp, will also be presented to the crowd.

Stoke City Ladies currently play in the Midland Women Combination League, the third tier of women's football, after their promotion last season and also operate a reserve team in the Midland Women Combination Reserve League.

Although linked to the Football Club, financially the Ladies are very much self-reliant and would therefore welcome all the help they can get.
