STOKE CITY Girls Centre of Excellence will soon be holding their 'Open Trials' at selected venues across Staffordshire.

All budding female football players are welcome to attend that are currently in Year 3 up to Year 10 at their respective schools (Year 4 to Year 11 from September 2010)!

Dates & Venues for the 'Open Trials' are as follows: -

Saturday 12th June - 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Longton Rugby Club, Trentham Field (Off Stanley Matthews Way), ST4 8GR.

Any players that suitably impress will then be invited to attend a further 3 trial dates in June so their abilities can be assessed alongside our current Centre of Excellence players, those dates will be Wednesday 16th & Tuesday 22nd June, 6.30-8.30pm at Trentham Lakes, with a trial practice match also taking place on Saturday 19th June from 9.30am to 12.30pm (opposition and venue to be confirmed on Wednesday 16th June).

Name of Player, Date of Birth, Age, Current School Year, Home Address, Contact & Emergency Number with Contact Name and your two 'Preferred Positions' (i.e. Striker/Left Midfield etc).

Also clearly state which trial date you wish to attend and at which venue, as well as any local club or other Girls Centre of Excellence that you played for during the 2009-2010 season.

All females are welcome to attend who are currently in Year 3 (going into Year 4 in September 2010) to Year 10 (going into Year 11 in September 2010) at their schools.

Stoke City hold the FA's Centre of Excellence license for Staffordshire and have proudly done so for the last 8 years.

Player's that are signed by the Centre of Excellence receive specialised coaching two evenings a week (Monday & Wednesday) as well as playing in the Midlands Regional Fixture Programme on a Saturday representing Stoke City Football Club against other Centre's such as Aston Villa, Birmingham City & Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Centre of Excellence boasts fours age groups - Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s & Under 16s. Players at U14 and U16 also get the opportunity as the season progress to be selected for Regional Training Camp will ultimately are trials for the England U15 and U17 squads.

During the 2009-2010 season Stoke City were proud to be represented at an England U15 training camp by two of our players, Olivia Fergusson & Emily Horton.

We would urge any local female players that enjoy playing football, irrelevant of current playing experience, to attend the Open Trials. Players that have played at our Centre of Excellence previously or with another FA Centre of Excellence are also definitely welcome to attend.
