2 mins: Tuncay beats two men on a great mazy run but gets tackled before he has chance to shoot. Throw in to Stoke.
3 mins: Rory Delap hurls the ball into the area but Gary Caldwell heads it away. It's worked back into the area and the Latics are forced to put the ball behind for a corner.
7 mins: Shawcross booked for obstructing Rodallega's route to goal after he had dispossessed Wilkinson on the right flank. Free kick to Wigan just on the edge of the area, but luckily its blocked.
11 mins: N'Zogbia's low shot flashes past the far post after the Latics break on the counter. It took a deflection however so corner kick.
14 mins: Etherington booked after a foul on the left flank.
14 mins - GOAL: The free kick is whipped into the box by Charles N'Zogbia and Paul Scharner rises to head home. 1-0 to Wigan.
17 mins: Scharner shoots at goal after patient build-up by the hosts. Saved by Sorensen.
24 mins: Incidentally, Scharner's goal was the first goal that we've conceded in the first half in the league since 2009.
27 mins: A defensive reshuffle at the back for the Potters sees Huth going out to right back, Wilkinson moving over to left back and Higginbotham going inside to partner Shawcross. Tony Pulis is looking at counteract Wigan's pace and movement going forward.
31 mins: Higginbotham's effort at goal blocked en route to goal after Etherington put in a free kick.
33 mins: Caldwell booked after bringing down Tuncay on the edge of the area, centre of goal. The Turk had gone on another dangerous run.
34 mins: Huth runs up to smash the ball goalwards but Shawcross in fact inadvertantly blocks it! He turns to shoot though and it's deflected for a corner. Sidibe then shoots wide following a knock down from the flag kick.
37 mins: Andre Marriner waves away City's claims for a free kick after Caldwell had appeared to have tugged Tuncay down after the striker had turned him. Tony Pulis and the travelling supporters are not happy with that decision.
40 mins: Tuncay sees an effort at goal saved by Kirkland after connecting to an Etherington cross.
42 mins: Scharner 's header, this time from a corner kick, flashes just wide of the far post.
45 mins; A minimum of three minutes added time is indicated by the fourth official.
45 mins: Huth is another to enter the referee's book for a foul on the left byline.
46 mins: Two successive corners follow as Wigan look to add to their lead. Stoke will just be wanting half-time to come.

8.49pm: Paul Scharner and Jason Scotland get this second period started - no changes at the break for either side.
53 mins: Tuncay's effort at goal is saved by Kirkland after Huth had headed a long free kick back into the goalmouth. He'll be disappointed not to have tested the goalkeeper more there.
55 mins: Hendry Thomas comes on for James McCarthy in the centre of midfield for the hosts.
60 mins: Rory Delap is replaced by Ricardo Fuller. It looks as though Etherington will now play on the right with Tuncay on the left flank, both supporting Fuller and Sidibe up front. The defence has also gone back to it's original set-up.
60 mins: Jordi Gomez comes on for Jason Scotland.
66 mins: Rodallega's ambitious overhead kick hits the top of the bar as Wigan break from Stoke's heavy pressure. It did look as like Sorensen had it covered though.
68 mins: Fuller is somehow denied a foul after bustling past two defenders before being brought down by Hendry Thomas.
70 mins: Fuller's shot is blocked by a defender's outstretched leg after he had latched onto Sidibe's knock down from a Higginbotham ball forward. That would have been a classic Stoke goal.
70 mins: Tuncay miskicks a ball into the six yard box, a good chance to hit the target there. The Potters are pushing hard for an equaliser here, will they get one?
74 mins Etherington sets Fuller free down the right and he powers forward before squaring for Sidibe. Caldwell is there tho to clear.
74 mins - GOAL: Caldwell's clearance is picked up by Etherington who crosses for Tuncay. This time he makes no mistake, burying a header into the back of the net to bring the scores level! Yes!
76 mins: Sidibe's looping header hits the frame of the goal after Fuller had diverted it back across the face. So unlucky!
81 mins: Wigan bring on Marcelo Moreno for Diame.
86 mins: Moreno's shot at goal is deflected behind by Shawcross.
88 mins: Double substitution for the Potters - Beattie on for Sidibe and Lawrence on for Tuncay.
90 mins Etherington lashes over the bar after Lawrence's corner was cleared as far as the edge of the area.
90 mins: Fuller and Etherington play a one-two down the left which results in the latter crossing into the box. Lawrence dummy's it for Beattie who lashes a shot at goal. Good save by Kirkland there. C'mon Stoke!
