MINUTE-TO-MINUTE
5.20pm: Welcome to stokecityfc.com for live minute-to-minute updates from this evening's game.
5.25pm: Both managers have opted to go with attacking line-ups, so i'm predicting a couple of goals at least in this evening's encounter. Once again the live television cameras are here, meaning this is our sixth appearance on live television since the start of 2010. More than any other team in the country.
5.27pm: The two teams are out on the pitch and you can really feel the atmosphere here inside this traditional small stadium
We are off here as Pompey get proceedings underway. Come on Stoke!
2: Rory Delap launches his first long throw of the afternoon, but the hosts manage to clear their lines.
4: Glenn Whelan's in-swinging free-kick from 40-yards is headed just over the bar by Ryan Shawcross. Great ball from the Irishman there.
7: Good ball from Whelan down the flank to Fuller, but his ball into the penalty area is swept away by Herman Hreidarsson.
8: City's midfield looks strong and Pompey are having to resort to long punts upfield, which the defenders are comfortably dealing with.
10: Delap's long throw is only half cleared to Whelan; but he blazes over from 25 yards. City look the brighter of the two teams so far.
15: Not been the greatest of games so far. Quick fact for you. Stoke along with Aston Villa are the only two Premier League teams unbeaten in 2010, following Man Utd's defeat at Everton earlier on.
17: Mamady Sidibe fires just wide of David James' post from 10-yards after Fuller knocked down Andy Wilkinson's long ball forward.
18:Another trademark Delap hurl into the box is eventually dealt with by James, who was under pressure from Tuncay.
20: Portsmouth have the ball into the net thanks to Frederic Piquionne, however, it is ruled out by the linesman on the nearside. That was marginal. Lucky escape for Stoke there.
23: Some neat build up play from the Potters leads to nothing as Whelan's pass is too powerful for Fuller and goes out of play.
25: Belhadji goes close for the hosts with a powerful effort from 25-yards, but it goes inches over the bar.
27: Stoke need to get hold of the game at the moment as its Portsmouth doing most of the attacking. Just as i say that City win a throw in Delap territory. It comes to nothing though as Hreidarsson again clears the ball away.
32: A great piece of skill there from Sorensen, as he dummies the ball with Dindane chases him down and just roles it out to Huth.
35:
Piquionne turns the ball into the back of the net from a tight angle after reacting quickest to the ball after Sorensen palmed away Owusu-Abeyie's long range effort.
40: City almost back on level terms through Tuncay, however, his stinging effort is brilliantly saved by James at his near post.
43: A series of corners for the hosts cause brief moments of panic in the City danger zone but we manage to stand firm.
45: 2 minutes additional time have been indicated by the fourth official.
45+2: Tuncay heads well wide of the post with just James to beat. Without doubt City's best effort of the game so far. That's it. The last incident of the half and City are behind.
We are back underway here at Fratton Park. Come on Stoke lets get back in this!
Goalscorer Piquionne has suffered a hamstring injury and has been replaced by former Arsenal star Kanu.
46: A good start for Pompey who win an early corner thanks to Kanu. Wilkinson brilliantly clears it away from the Nigerian striker though.
48: Whelan goes close from 20-yards as his effort is cleared from off the line by Diop. At the other end Dindane gets the better of Wilkinson, but Whitehead tracks back to make a superb sliding tackle.
50:
GET IN!!! Robert Huth rises highest to meet Whelan's corner and powers the ball into the back of the net. Great header.
54: A typical counter-attack there and it could have been a second goal for Stoke. Tuncay brilliantly broke frr and tried to play the ball into Fuller, however, it fell to Delap who tested the hands of James with a thunderous effort.
56: Shawcross brings Kanu down just outside the penalty area, giving the hosts a chance to take the lead. Great defending by the wall though as they stand firm.
59:
James O'Hara booked for arguing with the referee, after bringing down Whitehead.
62: Delap chucks in his umpteenth long throw of the game, but again James comfortably gathers the ball.
65: Corner for Stoke as Diop heads Whelan's ball into the box behind his own goal. The Ireland international fires it across and Fuller lashes over.
66:
John Utaka comes on for Portsmouth at the expense of Hassan Yebda.
67:
Wilkinson is booked for Stoke for a professional foul on Dindane.
69: A defensive mix-up almost allows Fuller through on goal, however, they clear their lines. Delap fires goalwards and Shawcross flicks it just wide. The Potters are pushing here.
73:
Wilkinson is dismissed after holding back Dindane for a second time. Poor decision we feel here.
75: Fuller catches O'Hara with a high boot and it rips the Pompey man's shorts. He embarrasingly changes them on the side of the pitch.
76:
Salif Diao is on as Pulis reshuffles. Tuncay off.
79: Diao brings down Kanu, but the resulting free-kick leads to nothing. Stoke need to stand strong here and soak up the Pompey pressure.
83: A good run from Fuller but with Whelan supporting him on the right, he decides to shoot, and curls just over.
85:
Finnan is off and Danny Webber is on as Pompey go for the win.
88: Sorensen does well to save O'Hara's long range effort with Webber ready to pounce should he had spilled it.
90+1:
YESSS!!! Diao taps home from 6-yards after Fuller brilliantly tees him up after beating three men on the right. A great goal for Stoke.
90+4:
Fuller comes off with David Kitson taking his place.
90+7: It's all over and Diao's first ever goal in England is enough to secure all three points. What a superb second half fightback. Thanks for joining us!
