1 mins: Some neat interchange play down the right flank culminates in Lawrence driving a dangerous ball across goal. Rovers stand firm and clear their lines however.
3 mins: Tuncay attempts to squirm free inside the penalty area, but he is dispossessed by James Tunnicliffe.
5 mins: Jo Kuffour drags a strike well wide after doing well to control and turn 20-yards out.
8 mins: City are keeping hold of the ball well at the moment is the middle of the pitch.
11 mins: Fuller does superbly well to beat his man on the left flank, but his delivery into the danger zone narrowly evades Lawrence, who throws himself at the ball in an attempt to divert it goalwards.
15 mins: Lawrence superbly feeds Whitehead down the channel and his ball across goal finds its way to Tonge, but his effort is blocked, before he tries his luck again, only to see his strike superbly saved by the keeper. A good chance for the Potters.
17 mins: Huth does well to outmuscle Will Hoskins and win the ball for the Potters. The big German has had an impressive pre-season.
23 mins: A pretty quiet spell as both sets of players look to be holding themselves back a little bit. Inevitable really with the new season just around the corner.
25 mins: Just as I say that Rovers miss the best chance of the game. Jo Kuffour picked out Will Hoskins with a delightful ball to the back post, but his half volley is sliced well over the bar and into the stand.
26 mins: Rovers are pressing now. They seem to have settled down, and are asking most of the questions at the moment.
29 mins: Huth does well to meet Lawrence's ball, but he can only fire it straight into the arms of the keeper.
30 mins: Tuncay almost heads City into the lead as he rises highest to head Fuller's flick on goalwards, only to see Mikkel Andersen save on the line.
32 mins: Jamaican international Fuller tries to pick out Tuncay in the 6-yard box, but his cross is put behind by the out-stretched Carl Regan.
38 mins: GOAL! City take the lead and it comes from, who else, but Tuncay. The Turkey skipper brilliantly danced his way into the penalty area and fired a ferocious effort towards goal, which Andersen did superbly to save. However, Tuncay reacted fastest and calmly placed the rebound out of his reach and into the far corner of the net. That's five in five during pre-season.
45 mins: Huth has to be brave to throw himself in-front of the ball to divert Hoskin's powerful effort behind for a corner.
45 mins: GOAL! Rovers level the scoreline thanks to Dominic Blizzard. Sorensen misjudges the corner and the midfielder heads the ball into an empty net.
45+1 mins: GOAL! What an end to the half. Fuller sublimely puts the Potters back into the lead after beating three defenders and then rounding the keeper. Mesmerising stuff from the Jamaican. Him and Tuncay are looking good together.

20:47 mins: The teams are back out for the second half. More of the same from the Potters will be very welcome.
47 mins: Tonge goes close to replicating his strike from the weekend, but he watches his effort from 25-yards drift inches wide of the left hand post.
49 mins: The attendance is announced as 2449, with 221 coming from the Potteries.
51 mins: Faye hobbles off after appearing to have picked up a slight groin strain. He is replaced by Andy Wilkinson. Hopefully it is nothing too serious.
54 mins: Four changes for the Potters with Marshall, Beattie, Soares and Dickinson replacing Lawrence, Fuller, Whitehead and Higginbotham.
59 mins: Sorensen does well to charge down Hoskins 15-yards out, as the former Rotherham man looked to round the Denmark international.
64 mins: Tuncay sublimely tried to backheel home a third for the Potters, but his effort is cleared off the line. Magical stuff from the striker.
69 mins: Beattie rises at the back post to meet Marshall's deep cross but he heads wide with just the keeper to beat.
71 mins: Great defending by Huth as he heads a powerful effort over the bar. Hoskins' strike looked likely to cause Sorensen some problems.
74 mins: Sorensen misjudges another ball into the box, but fortunately Tunnicliffe heads over with the goal at his mercy.
80 mins: The game is quiet now with both sides starting to take their foot off the pedal.
85 mins: Soares should have done better after being freed by Marshall. He had Pugh out to his left, but his pass to him was poor, allowing Coles the chance to clear the ball.
87 mins: Tuncay twists and turns and manages to find a couple of yards to free up some space, but his effort fly's wide of the post. The Turkish international has been impressive again tonight.
90 mins: One additional minute is added on at the end.
