Jamaican Joins

City have this evening completed the signing of Jamaican international Demar Phillips.

The 23-year-old left-sided midfielder joins for a significant but undisclosed fee from Jamaican club Waterhouse.

Phillips is a proven international with 27 caps for his country and has played alongside Ricardo Fuller on several occasions.

He has signed a three-year deal that will see him at the Britannia until 2010.

Boss Tony Pulis spoke of his delight in signing Phillips.

"I'm delighted we've signed an exceptionally exciting player from Jamaica.

"He's quality left-sided player with plenty of pace and one we hope to develop for the future."
