City boss Tony Pulis has spoke of his delight in seeing Gary Megson appointed as manager of Leicester City.
The former Potters chief has spent the summer helping out with first team training sessions here at the Britannia Stadium and was appointed as the new number one at the Walkers Stadium earlier today.
Pulis loses a member of his coaching staff but admits he'd much rather see him in full-time management.
"I'm absolutely delighted he's got the job to be honest.
"I know Gary had been speaking to Leicester for the last couple of weeks, he's a good lad and deserves to be back, I'm very, very pleased for him.
"It's been disappointing that he hadn't been able to get a job again. But we got him back in here to get him involved and give him the opportunity to say he's back in the game."
The Foxes are chaired by a man Pulis knows only too well in Milan Mandaric following their partnership at Portsmouth a few years ago.
"Leicester's a great club and Milan will definitely back him, there won't be a problem in that respect, he'll just have to win every week," smiled Tony.
And with Leicester the next away match after Hull City, Pulis admits things may have to be altered in regards to training.
"We travel down there in a couple of weeks so we'll have to change things around here a little bit now, especially the set plays!"
"I'll be looking forward to it though and I'm sure Gary will be as well."
Former City defender Gerry Taggart has also joined Gary's backroom team at the Walkers Stadium and tickets for the game are now on sale to season ticket holders, and go on general sale tomorrow. For more information, click here.
