The Waiting Game

Posted on: Thu 27 Sep 2007

Stoke City Football Club can confirm that Vincent Pericard is yet to be released from prison.

The 24-year old striker was originally scheduled to return home on Monday, however red tape has delayed the process.

With Vincent being born outside of the United Kingdom he is currently awaiting immigration clearance which as of yet has not been granted.

However, the club are confident of seeing him released in the near future.

Football Administrator Eddie Harrison says: "Vincent has had a meeting with the immigration authorities this morning and that went well.

"I spoke to his agent this morning and the governor at the prison and we are hopeful he will be released on Saturday morning.

"The interview today was a routine procedure, and Vincent is fine with everything which is going on, and is just waiting to be given the all clear to return home."
