Stoke City have completed the signing of Crystal Palace star Leon Cort on an initial 2-month loan.
The 28-year old defender has just finalised the paperwork to seal the move to the Britannia Stadium, and becomes manager Tony Pulis' second signing in the last 24 hours.
The deal is expected to be made permanent in January after both clubs agreed a fee.
Leon has been handed the number five shirt and will be included in the squad for Saturday's clash with Coventry City.
The former Millwall, Hull and Southend man has gained a reputation as a goalscorer after bagging an impressive 29 goals from defence.
He can also boast an exceptional disciplinary record after failing to be booked in his past 127 games, stretching back to April 2004.
Confirming the deal Chief Executive Tony Scholes says: "I am delighted that the deal to bring Leon to the Potteries has now been completed.
"We were very keen to tie him up in time for the Coventry match tomorrow, and we have done just that."
Boss Tony Pulis couldn't hide his delight at his latest capture saying: "Leon is a great signing for this football club, and he brings more quality to the squad.
"He will add depth to the team and i am absolutely delighted to have got him here."
