Over the weekend we have run a 'Stoke the Fire' competition on stokecityfc.com with a half-season ticket up for grabs.

We were overwhelmed with a bumper entry.

The lucky winner of the half season ticket was Lee Winter from Newcastle and he popped down to the ticket office at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon to select his seat opting to sit in the Boothen End from the 1^st January onwards.

Lee's answer amazingly was only one off the actual number of season tickets sold, Lee guessed at 8,023 when the actual number is 8,022!

When told how close he was Lee couldn't believe it, "I'd heard that the club had sold 8000 season tickets, but I don't know where the 23 came from," Lee mused.

Lee has had a season ticket in the past but was unable to renew in the summer because of work commitments, but thinks that now he can move things around so he can come and watch the Potters.

Lee really believes that City can make it into the top 6 and push for promotion. "I think Tony Pulis has done a lot for Stoke, he took us on when we were fighting relegation and now we are pushing for promotion. He has done all that without spending much money," praised Lee.
