Pugh's A Potter
Stoke City can today confirm the permanent signing of Danny Pugh from Coca-Cola Championship rivals Preston North End for £500,000.
Pugh has signed a three and a half year contract with club, keeping him at the Britannia Stadium until the summer of 2011.
Commenting on the deal, Chief Executive Tony Scholes said:
"We're delighted to have finalised the deal with Preston North End for Danny Pugh.
"To sign a player of Danny's ability on a three and a half year contract again shows that we mean business and that we are determined to take this club forward".
Manager Tony Pulis is delighted to capture the former Manchester United player, adding:
"Danny's already a big part of the team here and I'm delighted to have tied him down on a permanent deal.
"He's come in on loan and done extremely well, played in three different positions and never let us down."
