The club would like to extend a big "thank you" to all of the supporters who attended yesterday's FA Cup Third clash with Newcastle United.
The wall of red and white cards held up prior to the game in the Seddon Stand was a fantastic spectacle and helped to give a really positive impression of the club to everybody watching around the country.
Coupled with a rip-roaring atmosphere throughout the match, it spurred the team on against the Premier League giants and nearly won the club the tie.
Chief Executive Tony Scholes said, "The atmosphere created by everyone at the Britannia last night was excellent and it no doubt helped the players to perform as well as they did and get the good result."
City defender Andy Wilkinson, a local lad himself, revealed, "It was a big thing for us and a massive buzz for me.
"The atmosphere sent a big shiver down my spine and it was like a twelfth man out there for us."
Boss Tony Pulis was also delighted with the supporters, adding, "Our fans made it a great cup tie with the way they got behind the team.
"The noise in the second half especially was simply fantastic."
