African Update

Posted on: Mon 28 Jan 2008

Mamady Sidibe's Mali played their second game of the African Cup of Nations this past weekend and gained a point following a 0-0 draw with Nigeria.

Sidibe was an unused substitute for the game as the Eagles of Mali failed to score against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The draw, coupled with Ivory Coast's 4-1 victory over Benin leaves Mali in second place with four points, ahead of their final game of the group.

Mali face the Ivory Coast, who are already through to the knock out stages of the competition, at 5.00pm on Tuesday evening.
