Ryan Shawcross has been called up to the England Under 21 squad to face Poland on the 25th of March.

The tough tackling centre half, who has had a fantastic debut season for the Potters, was previously involved in Stuart Pearce's squad for their clash earlier in the year against the Republic of Ireland and will be hoping to get some playing time after not featuring in the game.

Shawcross, who won the 'Powerade' Player of the Month Award for October, has excelled since making his loan deal from Manchester United permanent and everyone at the club is proud to see Ryan getting the international recognition he deserves.
