Midfield ace Liam Lawrence has this morning agreed a one year extension to his current City contract.

The in form winger, who has scored an impressive 14 goals so far this term, is now tied down at the Britannia Stadium until the summer of 2012.

Speaking exclusively to stokecityfc.com, he said: "I am absolutely delighted to have agreed a new contract here.

"I have had a fantastic time with the club and I am am determined to help bring Premier League football to Stoke City.

"The fans, the City and everything about my time in Stoke has been first class and I can't tell you how happy I am to have got the deal done."
