Stoke Edition Of Monopoly Announced
Plans for a Stoke Edition of the popular game "Monopoly" were announced here at the Britannia Stadium today.
And now people from around the area can vote for which landmarks they would like to see on the board.
Early polls conducted by the game's promoters have the Britannia Stadium leading the race for the prime position of Mayfair, with voting for all spaces closing at the end of June.
"So far the Britannia is definitely leading the way," confirmed promoter Graham Barnes, "and we're delighted that we are launching the game here at the stadium and I thank everyone involved at Stoke City.
"It's great that the Stoke Edition has now "passed go" and we are looking forward to seeing whether the Potteries Shopping Centre takes over Oxford Street, The Sentinel replaces Fleet Street and the City Council trades places with Whitehall".
The game is expected to hit the shelves in time for Christmas with production beginning after the voting period ends.
