Stoke City are inviting charities and not for profitable organisations to apply to be one of the club's chosen charities for the 2008/09 Premier League campaign.

Over the past two seasons we have distributed over 3000 complimentary tickets and more than 100 VIP days out to local organisations, individuals and charitable organisations.

This has resulted in us being a victim of our own success and following promotion to the Premier League we now do not have the capacity to distribute the sheer volumes of prizes we previously did.

During the close season we have been very busy reviewing several Club policies and included in that has been the Charity Policy.

The Charity Policy for the 2008/09 Premier League season will have the following format:

Stoke City Football Club have an application process which will then enable us to adopt up to five registered charities. Once selected these Charities will receive a whole host of unique benefits.

All you need to do to be considered is tell us in no more than 500 words, why you feel your charity should be adopted by Stoke City Football Club.

The deadline for applications is Thursday, 31st July and all chosen charities will be contacted by the club at a later date.
