Chief Executive Tony Scholes says that there is plenty of work going on behind the scenes to get new players in at the Britannia Stadium.

June is traditionally a quiet month in the football transfer market with many players on holiday, but plans and preparations for new arrivals are ongoing.

Speaking in an exclusive "Question Time" interview on Stoke City World where questions from supporters were answered, the Chief Executive confirmed, "Yes, we are looking at players.

"It might be the summer but Tony (Pulis) and his team of people are still working very hard.

"There are still games that we are following and still international games that we've got scouts looking at.

"The work is being done, conversations are being held but you won't be surprised to hear me say that I won't comment on any individuals until any deals are done.

"I think it's always dangerous in any sport to rest on your laurels.

"You need to change things around, you need to keep things fresh and no doubt that Tony will be looking to improve wherever we can."

The Chief Executive also spoke at length about a number of other topics, including the search for players around the world, the possible expansion of the Britannia Stadium, the renovation of the pitch and the size of it for next season, the proposed underpass behind the Boothen End and lots, lots more.
