Posted on: Wed 17 Jun 2009

City will begin the 2009/10 Barclays Premier League campaign by hosting newly promoted Burnley at the Britannia Stadium.

Next season's fixture list announced this morning drew the Potters out against the clarets, who include former striker Martin Paterson, for the 15th August fixture.

The Potters will then travel to Anfield just four days later to take on championship hopefuls Liverpool, before again hitting the road to make the short journey down the M6 to take on Alex McCleish's Birmingham City on 22nd August.
