The Man In The Middle
Appointed to Select Group Referees list in 2001, Chris officiated his first game in the top flight at the Reebok Stadium as Bolton took on Charlton Athletic that year.
Noted as one of the best officials in the game, he was given the honour of taking charge of the first competitive match at the new Wembley Stadium; the 2007 FA Trophy Final between Stevenage Borough and Kidderminster Harriers.
Other highlights in his career included being named as the fourth official for the 2008 FA Cup Final between Cardiff City and Portsmouth.
He last took charge of a game involving the Potters in April this year, as he oversaw the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at the Britannia stadium, where he issued 6 yellow cards.
His last game featuring Birimingham City came in May 2008 where the Blues slipped to a 2-0 home defeat against Fulham.
Chris started the 2009/10 campaign by overseeing Chelsea's Charity Shield success at Wembley, before refereeing Tottenham's 5-1 thrashing of Hull City at the KC Stadium on Wednesday.
