TONY Pulis today revealed that Thomas Sorensen and James Beattie could be fit for this weekend's Barclays Premier League clash against Bolton Wanderers.
The pair had to be withdrawn during the first half of last Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Chelsea after picking up injuries, and while it initially appeared that both would be ruled out of the encounter at the Reebok Stadium, Pulis has delivered promising news on their prospects of facing the Trotters.
"I think Thomas will be fine, and I'm also hopeful James will be the same," he told stokecityfc.com. "With Thomas it was a mixture of things; he had to travel back from Albania before the game and didn't really train on Friday, and then he got stuck in a bit of traffic before the match on Saturday.
"During the match he felt his back a little bit and it was best to take him off rather than risk causing any major problems.
"With James I think we have been a little bit lucky because at first it looked like he had broken his ankle or damaged his ligaments, but fortunately I think he has just burst a blood vessel. His ankle is still swollen up, but he is a determined kid and he is desperate to be involved."
