TONY PULIS was disappointed that two dubious decisions helped to spark Wolverhampton Wanderers' dramatic fightback in the Staffordshire derby at a packed Britannia Stadium.
City's manager felt that it wasn't a free kick which led to Wolves pulling a goal back shortly after half time and then also claimed that Jody Craddock was offside as he scored at the far post.
Craddock scored both of Wolves' second half goals after Stoke City, looking for a third successive Barclays Premier League victory had stormed into a two-goal lead before half time.
"The disappointing thing is that the referee blew for half time, because we lost our momentum after the break," commented the Potters boss after the 2-2 draw with Wolves.
"The goal so soon after the break gave them a massive lift, but we're not happy because it was a poor decision in the first place to give the free kick and then Craddock was a yard and a half offside at the far post after the ball into the box was flicked on by a Wolves player."
He added: "Although we found it difficult to raise our game again in the second half, we still had the best chance of the game when Abdoulaye shanked one off his head!"
But Pulis put things in perspective after his side failed to claim a win that would have moved them level on points with Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League table.
"It's disappointing that we didn't hold onto our lead, but that it says a lot about how far we have come that we feel that way after two wins and two draws from last four games.
"We're playing in arguably the best League in the world and we've done fantastically well to get the number of points which we have from the first 11 matches of the season."
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy admitted after a third successive draw for his side: "I am sick of playing well and just getting a point, although you have to be happy with a draw here."
