TONY PULIS today highlighted the big difference in Stoke City's 'home and away' form and stated: "We need to start scoring goals on our travels."

Pulis' side go into tomorrow night's game at Wigan Athletic buoyed by their best-ever Premier League victory over Blackburn Rovers which means they have won four of their last five matches at the Britannia Stadium and scored 13 goals in the process.

Indeed, in each of those four victories over York City, Fulham, Arsenal and most recently Blackburn Rovers at the weekend, they have scored three goals.

In stark contrast, City have to go back to early November for the last time they scored in an away fixture at Hull City and they have drawn a blank in five outings since then, drawing two of those games and losing the other three matches.

"We have been on a fantastic run at home, but we now need to start taking our chances in away matches," said Pulis in looking ahead to the Wigan game.

"Only Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa have conceded fewer away goals than this season, which shows we have been solid away from home.

"While it is important we continue to do that, we have been creating chances and it's now time that we started to make at least some of them count."

Pulis' side face three away matches in the next four games with the FA Cup tie at Manchester City and a trip to Portsmouth coming up after the Wigan game.

"It's a tough period for us, especially when you also take into account the fact that our other match is at home to Manchester City in the League," said City's boss.

"So although it was a great result for us on Saturday and we've had a good run recently, we must stay focussed on our target of getting to 40 points as soon as possible."
