World Cup Final Prize For Early Birds

Posted on: Tue 09 Mar 2010

STOKE CITY are sending two of their supporters on the trip of a lifetime to the World Cup Final this summer as their Early Bird Season Ticket campaign sets out to reward the remarkable loyalty and passion of the loudest fans in the country.

The lucky supporters will be flown to Johannesburg for the biggest football occasion of all in mid-July after being picked out in a prize draw for Season Ticket holders who secure their seat at the Britannia Stadium by Wednesday 17th March.

The Potters are hoping the World Cup Final tickets will stimulate early renewals and purchases after announcing that Season Ticket prices will be frozen for a second successive year, thus raising the possibility that City fans will be enjoying Barclays Premier League football at Championship prices at the Britannia Stadium once again next season.

"The chance to go to a World Cup Final is the biggest match there is for anyone who loves their football. It doesn't get any better than that," said City's Chief Executive Tony Scholes. "We have players who could possibly make it to the World Cup Final, but this offer guarantees there will be at least two people from Stoke City at the Final.

"A lot of people left it until the last minute to take up the Early Bird offer twelve months ago, so we are hoping this prize draw deadline will encourage more to book earlier so they have a chance to win this fabulous prize worth more than £10,000."

Supporters wishing to be in that crowd of 91,141 at Soccer City in Johannesburg on Sunday 11th July need to 'be in that number' who book by March 17th in order to have an opportunity to go to the World Cup Final.

The wonderful prize on offer includes two tickets for the football showpiece this summer, as well as flights, transfers and accommodation.

'I want to be in that number' is the theme of the campaign as Season Tickets go on sale on Monday 1st March and fans have until 24th March to secure their seats for next season at those prices. But by hitting the deadline a week earlier, they will be automatically entered into the draw which could see them going to the World Cup Final.
