STOKE CITY supporters have given a resounding vote of confidence to the club's Season Ticket campaign once again . . . as sales remain "buoyant" following the launch of Early Bird offers at the beginning of the month.
A survey conducted by Virgin Money has revealed that 91% of fans are set to renew their Season Ticket following the club's success this season and the announcement of a price freeze for a second successive year.
The Virgin Money Football Fans' Index set out to ascertain how many Premier League supporters would consider cancelling their Season Ticket for the 2010/11 season in the current climate and the survey's results showed the highest number of positive responses came from Stoke City with only 9% unsure if they will renew.
At the other end of that table, 59% of Manchester United fans and 54% of Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters told the Virgin Money survey that they were reconsidering whether to book a Season Ticket for next season.
This latest vote of confidence follows on from the Potters finishing top of a Sky Sports poll of all 92 English clubs at the beginning of this season when supporters were asked whether ticket pricing policies were reasonable.
More than 80% of City fans recorded 'yes' votes in that survey to show that they were happy with ticket prices at the Britannia Stadium, putting them ahead of all the other Premier League and Football League clubs.
"It is most encouraging to receive such positive feedback from our supporters at a time when Early Bird Season Ticket sales are so buoyant and we are well ahead of last year," commented City's Chief Executive Tony Scholes in responding to the latest of those supporter surveys following its publication by Virgin Money.
"This is further evidence of just how loyal our supporters are, but it also underlines the importance of fans securing their seat for next season as soon as possible. As well as renewals going extremely well, a significant number of new Season Ticket Holders have already booked their places since the launch of the campaign.
"We have a record number of 20,500 Season Ticket holders this season and by freezing prices for a second successive year, we are hoping to exceed that figure. All the early signs certainly point to us achieving that objective."
City supporters have until Wednesday 24th March to secure their seat for the 2010/11 season at the Early Bird prices, but by booking or renewing their Season Ticket by Wednesday 17th March, they will be entered into a prize draw in which they could win a dream trip to this summer's World Cup Final in Johannesburg.
