Injury Doubts For Bolton Match
TONY PULIS has a number of injury concerns ahead of the Barclays Premier League match against Bolton Wanderers at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
Stoke City's manager admitted that neither defender Ryan Shawcross nor striker Mamady Sidibe are likely to be risked, while there are doubts surrounding the fitness of leading scorer Ricardo Fuller and winger Matthew Etherington for the Bolton game.
Shawcross recently aggravated an ankle injury which he originally picked up in training three weeks ago and Sidibe is nursing a groin problem which forced him to come off in the goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux last Sunday.
Pulis will, however, be hoping that Fuller, who was injured in the win over Hull City, and Etherington, who has a knee injury, will be available to face Bolton.
"We won't be taking any risks with Ryan, he is too important to this club, while Mama is on the mend, but is more likely to be fit for Chelsea," he said.
"We will have to check on Ric and Matty before deciding if they will be okay. Ric has been struggling with the injury he picked up in the Hull match and Matty sustained up a knock in training this week, although it is not connected to his recent knee problem."
