Matchday Ticket Prices Frozen

Posted on: Wed 21 Jul 2010

STOKE CITY have confirmed that matchday ticket prices will remain the same for the 2010-11 season.

With City's first home game against Tottenham now a month away, the Club's pricing policy for matchday tickets is in line with the decision announced earlier this year to freeze Season Ticket prices for a third successive year.

Following record-breaking Season Ticket sales, there will be a high demand for a smaller number of tickets sold on a match-by-match basis and the Potters expect many of their games to draw capacity crowds at the Britannia Stadium.

City supporters flocked to the stadium in large numbers last season, registering the highest average League attendance for 46 years . . . the average of 27,162 being the best since Sir Stanley Matthews' return in 1963-64.

"Our supporters have given the Club tremendous backing over the past three years and we want to see the Britannia Stadium sold out for the vast majority of our matches again this season," said City's Chief Executive Tony Scholes.

"This pricing policy has already produced record-breaking Season Ticket sales and we also aim to offer good value for money in setting prices for matchday tickets across the three categories according to the opposition."

City have also revealed that their first home game against Champions League qualifiers Spurs at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday 21st August will be A* category. Further ticket details for the match will be announced shortly.
