Britannia Stadium Open Day

Posted on: Fri 23 Jul 2010

STOKE CITY supporters are being offered a wonderful chance to take a look behind the scenes at the Britannia Stadium when an Open Day is held on Saturday 7th August.

Among the many attractions, fans will get the opportunity to watch a training session featuring the first team squad, collect the autographs of their heroes and go on a stadium tour.

The event, which is being sponsored by Principal Club Partner Britannia, will include a host of other activities which will make it a great day out for all the family and certainly help to build excitement ahead of the big kick-off to the new season.

City will be hoping for a big turnout on the day as they aim to provide their two chosen charities for the 2010-11 season with a major boost by raising a significant amount of money.

Shortly before the first team's training session, the Club will present the proceeds of their fund-raising throughout the 2009-10 season to three local charities, the Donna Louise Children's Hospice, Caudwell Children and PASS . . . Partners Assuring a Safer Staffordshire.

Tony Pulis and his coaching staff will then put the first team squad through their paces on the Britannia Stadium pitch before the players line up for a signing session.

Either side of these two big attractions in the morning, supporters will be able to book places on tours which will be setting off every five minutes to look behind the scenes at the stadium before they finish with a photograph being taken in the dugout.

These will be run between 9.10am and 9.45am and then again between 12.00pm and 1.00pm with fans able to book places on the tours at scfcdirect.com.

The Club are also planning to have a number of other attractions in the West Stand Car Park including a climbing wall, inflatable assault course and community activities.

A full programme of the events on the day will be announced shortly.

*Admission to the Charity Open Day will be £1.00 payable on the day, while the charge for the stadium tours will be £5.00, with all the proceeds going to the Club's chosen charities.
